2011
- The German Hotel and Gastronomy Journal (Allgemeinen Hotel- und Gastronomie-Zeitung) listed the German ARCOTEL Hotels within the TOP 50 highest revenue hotel groups in Germany. The construction work on the ARCOTEL Onyx Hamburg is making progress and we are still open to new projects. A new website has optimised the online presence of the entire hotel group. Since 1st May 2011, the ARCOTEL Boltzmann in Vienna no longer belongs to the ARCOTEL Hotel group.
2010
- Processes optimized and quality assurance and brand management intensified.
2009
- Opening of ARCOTEL John F Berlin
2008
- Opening of ARCOTEL Camino Stuttgart, disposal of ARCOTEL Teatrino Prag
2007
- Manfred Mayer becomes the sole CEO of ARCOTEL Hotel AG. The sale of the ARCOTEL Elisabethpark concludes the group’s second portfolio adjustment. The ARCOTEL Kaiserwasser in Vienna and the ARCOTEL Rubin in Hamburg are opened.
2006
- Raimund D. Wimmer dies. His wife Dr.Renate Wimmer runs the company in the way her husband had envisioned.
2005
- The ARCOTEL Kongress Leoben and the ARCOTEL Landskron in Bruck an der Mur are sold in the course of the group’s second portfolio adjustment.
2004
- Opening of the ARCOTEL Velvet in Berlin
2003
- With the ARCOTEL Allegra, Zagreb’s first design hotel is opened. The overall concept was designed by Harald Schreiber
2000
- Opening of the ARCOTEL Teatrino in Prague
1999
- The ARCOTEL Teatrino in Prague is refurbished. In the context of the group’s first portfolio adjustment the Hotel Musil in Klagenfurt ceases to be an ARCOTEL franchise partner. The ARCOTEL Boltzmann Vienna is opened.
1998
- The Moser Verdino in Klagenfurt is refurbished and the Hotel Landskron in Bruck an der Mur is included into the group’s portfolio.
1997
- Purchase of the ARCOTEL Nike in Linz and the ARCOTEL Elisabethpark in Bad Gastein.
1996
- Establishment of ARCOTEL Hotels & Resorts GmbH as the group’s system management organisation. The group’s portfolio is enlarged by the Hotel Kongress in Leoben. The Klagenfurt-based hotels “Musil” and “Moser Verdino” become franchise partners.
1989
- Purchase of the ARCOTEL Wimberger in Vienna: under the ownership of Raimund D. Wimmer the hotel is fully refurbished and re-opened as an upmarket 4-star hotel in 1994.
